Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury has revealed that he was initially approached to act in Dev-starrer “Khadaan”, but had to step away from the project because of scheduling complications.
Chanchal, who continues to work across both Dhaka and Kolkata, recently wrapped up shooting for “Shekor”, directed by Bratya Basu in India. Despite collaborating with several prominent figures in the Kolkata industry, he has yet to share screen space with Indian actor Dev.
In a recent interview, Chanchal disclosed that he had received two separate offers to work with Dev — including one for “Khadaan”. However, due to time constraints and prior commitments, he was unable to take up either project.
The actor admitted that he has expressed regret over the missed opportunity and noted that Dev may still hold a slight grievance over the matter. He added that the two have met on several occasions at festivals both at home and abroad, where they discussed the possibility of working together.
Chanchal said both of them remain keen on collaborating and that during their most recent meeting, he assured Dev they would eventually share a project.
Meanwhile, Chanchal Chowdhury is set to appear in the upcoming film “Bonolota Express”. He will also star in “Shasti”, directed by Leesa Gazi, where he will be seen opposite Pori Moni.
