Scotia Consultants, an immigration firm in Canada, has provided emergency medical equipment assistance worth Tk 40 million, including ventilators, to help deal with the ongoing measles situation in the country.
Scotia Consultants President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Md Jamilur Rahim handed over the assistance to Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
The minister praised this noble initiative by private organisations to come forward in support of public health efforts.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr Jamilur for the contribution.
Health Services Division Secretary Md Quamruzzaman Chowdhury, Directorate General of Health Services Director General Professor Dr. Pravath Chandra Biswas and Empori Anxo Medicare Limited Executive Director Shahed Kamal were present.
