A three-day exhibition of photographs depicting the relationship between Dhaka people and the Ramna Park by photographer-activist Taslima Akhter began at the Shakuntala Chattar of the Ramna Park in the capital on Wednesday.
The exhibition titled Valobasi Ramna: Pran O Prakirityr Golpo displayed 40 photographs of the park, mostly the activities of people and how they used the park as a citizen and green lover.
The photographs taken in the past ten years portrayed the beauty of nature of the park in different seasons and the activities of members of Sakuntala Chattar, an organisation of the park visitors.
The exhibition was inaugurated Bangladesh National Museum director general Tanzim Wahab while the Drik Gallery curator ASM Rezaur Rahman spoke as special guest at the event moderated by Khabeer Uddin Khan, an organiser of the Shakuntala Chattar.
Tanzim Wahab said that the photographs of Taslima, also president Bangladesh Garment Sramik Samhati, are diverse in subject and approaches but deeply connected with the common people.
The open-air exhibition will end on Friday.
