The death toll from devastating flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border has risen to 95, with hundreds of people still missing.

At least 384 travellers, including 105 Indians, 93 Nepalis, three US citizens and 12 Britons, were reported missing from the affected region on Wednesday.

South Korea’s Yonhap news agency also said about eight of its nationals were unaccounted for.

The disaster struck after a wall of mud, rock and water surged through Nepal’s Rasuwa district and hit China’s Gyirong border crossing, sweeping away homes, vehicles, roads and power infrastructure. Authorities have warned of a possible second flood as debris remains lodged upstream.
