The Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Thursday has called for building a Bangladesh free from discrimination.

The party secretary general and LGRD and cooperatives minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the call while talking to reporters after offering Eid prayers at Thakurgaon Central Eidgah in the morning.


The real lesson of sacrifice is standing beside the helpless people and serve the humanity, he said.

He exchanged greetings with the devotees there.

He urged the people to forget differences and taka oath to build a nation of equality.

Mirza Fakhrul said, ‘We want to build Bangladesh by eliminating all inequalities and discrimination.’

About the Qurbani, he said, this is not a killing, but a symbolic lesson of sacrifice.

Alhaj Maulana Md Khalilur Rahman led the Eid prayers and delivered the sermon.

Later, a special prayer was held for the welfare of the nation.

Thakurgaon University vice chancellor Professor Dr Israfil Shaheen and local government officials and BNP leaders were present.
