Nancy Kissinger, the widow of former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger, has died at the age of 92, reports The New York Post.

She passed away at her home in South Kent, Connecticut on Thursday, according to her family.

The Kissingers married in 1974. Henry was secretary of state and Nancy was foreign policy advisor to former New York governor Nelson Rockefeller, who also introduced the couple.

Though never officially a US diplomat herself, Nancy accompanied her husband on diplomatic missions to Russia, the Middle East, and other parts of the world.

The couple, who had no children, were also fixtures at state dinners, embassy events and White House receptions during Republican administrations.

Born in 1934 in New York’s Manhattan, Nancy is survived by two stepchildren and five step-grandchildren.

Her husband, who served under the Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford administrations, died in November 2023 at age 100.
