Madonna has returned to the top of the UK’s Commercial Pop club chart with a new version of “Love Sensation” featuring Kylie Minogue.

The After Hours mix, reworked by longtime collaborator Stuart Price, entered the chart at No 1. It marks the second time “Love Sensation” has topped the chart, following Madonna’s solo version eight weeks ago.

The remix was first performed live at WorldPride Amsterdam on August 1. Minogue made a surprise appearance at Madonna’s Club Confessions party, where the pair performed the track together from the DJ booth with Price.

The studio version was released shortly afterwards, along with lyric videos featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the Amsterdam event.

The collaboration brings together two of pop’s biggest dance music stars. Their pairing has also received a strong response from UK club DJs, sending the track straight to the top of the chart.

The latest No 1 gives Madonna a record fifth chart-topper in just 15 weeks. Since the beginning of May, she has also topped the chart with “I Feel So Free”, “Bring Your Love”, a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, and “Danceteria”.The achievement further highlights Madonna’s continued influence on the dance music scene and her enduring popularity in the UK.
