The main jamaat of Eid-ul-Azha will be held at the National Eidgah in Dhaka at 7:30am, while five congregations will also take place at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

According to the National Moon Sighting Committee, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated across Bangladesh on May 28.

Meanwhile, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has completed all preparations for the main jamaat.

DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam expressed hope that President Mohammed Shahabuddin, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, cabinet members, judges, senior state officials, and foreign diplomats will attend.

The National Eidgah ground covers nearly 30,000 square metres, of which around 25,400 square metres have been allocated for the main prayer pandal. Authorities said approximately 35,000 worshippers can offer prayers there simultaneously in 121 rows.

Special arrangements have been made for 250 male and 80 female VIPs. Separate prayer spaces have also been designated for around 31,000 male and nearly 3,500 female worshippers.

There will be four entry gates at the venue -- one for VIPs, two for general male worshippers, and one for women. Seven exit gates have also been designated, including one for VIPs, five for male worshippers, and one for women.
