A fire broke out at a furniture factory in Badda early Sunday, fire service officials said.

The blaze erupted at around 1:15am in the Munshibari area of Satarkul. Eight units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after nearly two hours, at around 3am.

Fire Service Headquarters Station Officer Shahjahan confirmed the incident.

No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be immediately determined, the fire service official said.
