RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) has resumed manufacturing at one of its units following scheduled work, while another production line remains shut for ongoing maintenance.

According to a disclosure on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website today, the company said that machinery at Tiles Production line-2 has been offline for maintenance since August 24.

RAK Ceramics will notify once maintenance work on line-2 is completed and operations restart.

With the resumption of Production Line-3, the company is now running two of its four tiles lines, alongside production line-1.

Following the announcement, shares of the ceramic’s producer declined 0.32 percent to Tk 30.80 as of 11:14 am on the DSE.

RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) reported a net loss of Tk 39.59 crore for the year ended December 31, 2025, sharply up from Tk 2.73 crore loss a year earlier, as higher finance costs eroded profitability despite double-digit revenue growth, according to its annual report.

Incorporated in 1998, RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) operates as a ceramics brand for tiles and sanitaryware, leveraging global parentage from UAE-based RAK Ceramics.

Its plant is located in Gazipur, 60km from Dhaka. The company operates 300 sales touchpoints across demand hubs in Bangladesh, supported by a distribution network of 150 dealers and sub-dealers nationwide.
