A new gaming-focused retail space in Dhaka is offering young people an unusual invitation: walk in, pick up a phone and start playing, free of charge.
The store, inaugurated on December 5 by Infinix, the smartphone brand, at Centre Point in Uttara, includes a dedicated gaming zone where visitors can drop in at any time to play solo or with friends. The space allows gamers to try titles on the company's flagship GT series devices, including the Infinix GT 30 and Infinix GT 30 Pro.
At the launching event, the company said the store is meant to encourage young players to experiment, compete and meet one another in an open setting. Members of the Bangladesh Women's National Football Team attended the opening, reflecting the brand's ongoing focus on youth culture across sport and technology.
The store will host regular gaming sessions, hands-on trials and youth-centred activities, aiming to keep the space active beyond the initial launch, as per Infinix officials.
