Police have recovered the body of a man with his mouth taped shut from the Dhaka Elevated Expressway in Banani.

Sub-Inspector Nazrul Islam of Banani Police Station, who led a team to the scene on Friday morning, said investigators are working to establish what happened and would provide further details later.

Police estimated the man was aged between 35 and 40.

He was wearing a blue shirt resembling those commonly worn by CNG-run autorickshaw drivers, along with a lungi.

His mouth had been covered with adhesive tape.

Although security cameras are installed along the expressway, police could not immediately say how the body came to be there or identify anyone involved.
