The investigation report of the May 30, 1981, murder of President Ziaur Rahman was submitted by the Inquiry Commission in September that year, but was lost to the annals of time and never made public.

The Daily Star came into possession of a physical copy of the report, signed by the president of the commission, and is reproducing the commission’s findings 45 years after its submission.
