Indonesia's Gede Priandana became the first bowler to take five wickets in an over in a T20I during his side's match against Cambodia in Bali on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Priandana achieved the feat during the 16th over of the second innings. His five-wicket burst helped Indonesia bowl Cambodia out for 107 and secure a 60-run win.
The right-arm quick, took a hattrick with his first three deliveries of the over, dismissing Shah Abrar Hussain, Nirmaljit Singh and Chanthoeun Rathanak.
Priandana then scalped the wickets of Mongdara Sok and Pel Vennak to close off the game for his side. This was the Indonesian bowler's first five-wicket haul in T20Is.
The feat has, however, been achieved twice before in men's domestic T20s. Al-Amin Hossain of Bangladesh took five wickets in an over against Abahani playing for UCB-BCB XI in the Victory Day T20 Cup in 2013-14. The other was when Karnataka's Abhimanyu Mithun dismissed five Haryana batters in the semifinal of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20.
