Actor Abdun Noor Shajal  has signed a new film titled "Durbar", in which he will be paired opposite Apu Biswas. The project marks Shajal's second consecutive film after recently completing the shoot of the government-granted project Shapla Shaluk, co-starring Shobnom Bubly and directed by Rasheda Akhter Lajuk.

Directed by Kamrul Hasan Fuad, Durbar is set to begin shooting on  December 16, with the team planning to complete the filming schedule in one continuous run. Although the director has not revealed plot details, he confirmed that the film will be a thriller and murder-mystery, written by screenwriter Abdullah Zahir Babu.

The cast also includes Jannatul Noor, Sanju John, and others.

Industry sources indicate that "Durbar" is being targeted for a Eid-ul-Azha 2025 release.

Fuad said,"Our first priority is to finish the film properly. We will announce a release date once the work is complete. We hope to premiere it at a festival, but we don't want to rush. Our goal is to deliver a strong film for audiences."

Shajal and Apu are currently busy with rehearsals, aiming to be fully prepared before stepping in front of the camera. The pair will take part in an official photoshoot on December 14, ahead of filming.

Alongside films, Shajal has been busy as a dubbing artiste for several foreign television series, a craft he says he enjoys greatly.

Apu Biswas, meanwhile, is also set to star in another upcoming film titled "Secret", directed by Bandhan Biswas, opposite Ador Azad. She will begin filming for Secret after completing Durbar.
