Police say they have arrested another 32 Awami League activists from different areas of Dhaka.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Division issued a media statement to the effect on Wednesday.

However, the names and identities of the arrestees have not been confirmed, according to a bdnews24.com report.

Several hundred leaders and activists of the Awami League, which has had its activities banned, took part in a march in the capital’s Gulshan-1 area on Friday. Since then, police have conducted raids to arrest those who took part.

Over the next two days, law enforcers arrested 72 “participants”, many of whom have been remanded to police custody for questioning.
