Actor Rashed Mamun Apu has been keeping busy in showbiz, particularly in Dhallywood, where he has delivered a string of notable performances over the past few years, earning audience appreciation. Alongside films, he has remained active in web series and web films, steadily strengthening his career through varied roles.

In the new year, Apu has begun shooting for two films. He is currently in Sri Lanka, where he will start shooting tomorrow for his role in “Prince”, starring Shakib Khan. He added that he has already completed one day of shooting for “Prince” in Bangladesh and will now continue with an extended schedule across various locations in Sri Lanka. The entire team of “Prince” will be staying in Colombo and commuting to different shooting spots from there.

Speaking about Shakib Khan, Apu said this will be his second film with the mega star. “The first time I worked with him was in “Nabab LLB”. To be honest, Shakib Khan is a hundred percent professional artiste. Professionalism works very strongly in him. That is why he has come this far,” he said.

He added that he was particularly impressed by Shakib Khan’s discipline on set. “I have seen that Shakib Khan maintains time very well during shooting. This is very important for a good artiste. Besides that, his personality also deserves praise,” he said.

Describing the film, Apu said the story of “Prince” is strong and his character is different from his previous roles. “I am going to do something quite distinctive. I am very excited about Prince. I believe it will be something good for my career,” he said.

Speaking about director Abu Hayat Mahmud, Apu noted that “Prince” is the director’s first film and their first collaboration on a feature project, although he has acted in several of Mahmud’s television dramas before.

Asked about the film’s prospects, Apu said he is very optimistic. “I see ‘Prince’ as an Eid gift. It is an Eid release, and it is coming as a big treat for the audience,” he said.

On preparing for his role, he said he has taken full preparation and will rehearse before facing the camera.

Sharing his experience of Sri Lanka, Apu said this is his first time in Colombo. “Several of us artistes are staying at the same place. When we are outside the country, bonding among everyone grows stronger. We are staying by the sea, and it feels really good,” he said.

Meanwhile, in January, Rashed Mamun Apu has also started shooting for another film titled “Jhamela”. He said the film will feature a different kind of story.
