The posts, telecommunications and information technology minister, Faqir Mahbub Anam, on Tuesday told the Jatiya Sangsad that the country currently has four mobile phone operators with a combined total of 32 crore 82 lakh validly registered SIM cards.

The minister disclosed the information in response to a question from reserved-seat lawmaker Nilofar Chowdhury Moni.

He noted that the active mobile phone operators in the market are Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, Grameenphone Limited, Robi Axiata PLC, and Banglalink Digital Communications Limited.
