Just when fans thought the vault was officially closed, Netflix has sparked fresh speculation around the future of Money Heist.

On Wednesday, Netflix España dropped a surprise teaser with the caption: “The dream continues. The universe of Money Heist expands.”

The clip features Alvaro Morte returning as the Professor, surrounded by people in the franchise’s iconic red jumpsuits and Salvador Dali masks, while a new version of Bella Ciao plays in the background.

Then comes the line that sets everything off: “The revolution never ends.”

From there, things went into overdrive.

Netflix has not officially confirmed Season 6, but fans are already rewatching the teaser on loop, breaking it down frame by frame as a blink-and-miss gold detail fuels theories that the story is not over.

Others are convinced the Professor’s return in the teaser is not just nostalgia bait, but a setup for something bigger.

Reddit is split. Some fans think Netflix is preparing the franchise’s biggest comeback yet, while others feel the story is being stretched too far.

Spanish outlet El País reports that Vancouver Media, the production house behind the series created by

Alex Pina, is developing a four-episode spin-off focused on Colonel Tamayo, played by Fernando Cayo.

The project is not officially confirmed yet.

Attention is also shifting back to the already-released spin-off Berlin, which expands the same universe and follows Andres de Fonollosa, also known as Berlin, one of the most iconic characters from the original crew.

The series dives into his earlier life and another high-stakes heist, showing a different side of the franchise’s world beyond the Professor-led operations.

Money Heist first premiered in 2017 and quickly turned into a global phenomenon.

Across five seasons, the story followed the Professor and his crew pulling off high-stakes robberies at the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain.

What started as a Spanish crime drama became a full-blown pop culture wave. Red jumpsuits, Dali masks and Bella Ciao are now global symbols.

The numbers back the hype too.

According to Netflix engagement reports, the franchise generated nearly 1.3 billion viewing hours between 2023 and 2025.

The original series also holds a strong 8.2/10 rating on IMDb.
