Two years after their marriage, actress Mousumi Hamid and writer-playwright Abu Sayeed Rana are going their separate ways. The couple, who tied the knot on January 12, 2024, are no longer living together and are moving toward separation.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Mousumi Hamid said, “What you’ve heard is true. I am not in the mental state to say anything more about this.”
Their marriage had been arranged with the consent of both families. At the time of their wedding, Mousumi had stated, “Rana and I have known each other for two years. Then we decided to get married. We spoke with both families, and with everyone’s consent, we are completing the wedding formalities.”
Mousumi Hamid rose to fame in 2010 as the runner-up in Lux-Channel i Superstar. She has since starred in notable dramas including “Bhalobashar Chotushkone” and “Radio Chocolate”. Her film credits include “Blackmail” directed by Anonno Mamun, "Mental” directed by Shamim Ahmed Roni, and “1971 Shei Shob Din" directed by Hridi Huq.
