Holy Ashura and the 1347th death anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) will be observed on Thursday at the Mia Shaheb’s Maidan Khankah Sharif at Luxmibazar in Dhaka. 

Ninth incumbent peer Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the Mutawalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb’s Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, will conduct the religious discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.

The programme will begin through the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Mohammad Ishtiaq  Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruq and Hafez Mohammad Rohmotullah.

A discussion on the life and activities of the Islami thinkers, milad and dua mahfil have been organised after Magrib prayers at the khanqah sharif. 

Besides discussion will be held on the Holy Ashura and sahidane karbala.

Pesh Imam Mufti Abdur Rahman Belali, who is also khatib of Shah Saheb’s Bari Jame Masjid, and other Islamic scholars will participate in the discussion on the occasion.  The milad mahfil will be conducted by Haji Sayed Barkatullah Badaruddin.

Later tabarak will be distributed among the devotees. Programme convener Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf has invited all to the function, said a press release.
