Composer and singer Armeen Musa announced her marriage yesterday. The wedding took place on February 22, 2025. The artiste shared a few photographs from the event on her social media platforms on December 29.

Her partner, Saqeb Mahbub, is a barrister, Supreme Court lawyer and partner at the leading law firm Mahbub & Company.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Armeen Musa said the wedding celebrations spanned three countries—Hong Kong, London and Dhaka—cities with personal and familial ties to both her and her partner. The intimate gatherings featured music, dance and poetry, including "Sangama", a production conceived by Armeen Musa with her band and choir.

Armeen Musa's work spans music, theatre and interdisciplinary performance. She is the founder and director of the Ghaashphoring Choir and has led a range of collaborative projects bridging classical, folk and contemporary forms. She is the first Bangladeshi composer and singer to receive a Grammy nomination. She has also expanded her artistic practice into acting, debuting in acclaimed theatre director Syed Jamil Ahmed's production of "Ami Birongona Bolchi".

Saqeb Mahbub is an internationally recognised lawyer who works with Bangladeshi and international clients across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. In 2024, he was appointed an officer of the International Bar Association, the world's largest global body of lawyers. His public interest work includes collaborating with actor Jaya Ahsan and animal rights group PAW to secure a landmark High Court order against the inhumane treatment and exploitation of elephants.
