Porsche has announced it will begin selling an all-electric version of its Cayenne Coupe later this year, adding to a growing lineup of electric variants of the company's best-selling SUV.

The Cayenne Coupe Electric will be offered in three variants: a base model, an S Coupe, and a Turbo Coupe. All three variants feature an 800-volt powertrain, air suspension, and an adaptive rear spoiler. The vehicles are equipped with the North American Charging Standard port as well as an additional AC charging port.

Performance varies significantly across the range. The base model generates up to 435 horsepower with a 0-to-60 time of 4.5 seconds, while the Turbo variant produces up to 1,139 horsepower and can reach 60 mph from a standstill in 2.4 seconds, placing it alongside the Tesla Model S Plaid, Lucid Air Sapphire, and Porsche's own Taycan Turbo GT in terms of outright performance. Porsche has not released official EPA range estimates, though early real-world testing suggests figures in line with other Cayenne electric variants, which is approximately 360 miles on a single charge.

The coupe body style has proved consistently popular within the Cayenne lineup. When the petrol-powered coupe was introduced in 2019, it captured 20% of Cayenne sales within its first year. It now accounts for 40% of Cayenne sales globally, and as much as 90% in some individual markets.

Unlike the Porsche Macan, which will be sold exclusively as an electric vehicle going forward, the Cayenne Coupe Electric will be sold alongside petrol and hybrid variants beyond 2030.
