The minister of the ministries of road transport and bridges, railways and shipping Shaikh Rabiul Alam on Monday said that close circuit cameras will be installed on all national highways across the country to ensure road safety.

Gradually the cameras will be installed on other highways and roads across the country, he said on the second day of the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference 2026.

The initiative will be taken under a project, he added.
