The government has launched an investigation to determine whether there was any negligence behind the measles deaths and, if so, who was responsible, Health Secretary Md Quamruzzaman Chowdhury said today.

“An investigation is underway,” the health secretary said at a programme today.

Upon completion of the probe, the report will be made public, he said.

Details about the probe and the timeframe for the investigation could not be known immediately.
