Rancon, the automotive manufacturer, has officially become the distributor of JAC Motors in Bangladesh, taking charge of nationwide sales and after-sales operations for all JAC vehicles.
The announcement was made on December 6 at a launch event held at ICCB, Dhaka. At the event, Rancon unveiled JAC Motors' latest lineup, featuring two new double-cabin 4×4 pickups – the T9 Hunter and T8 – along with 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks.
According to the company, the T9 Hunter Double Cabin comes equipped with a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine, 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, 4-wheel drive, electric sunroof, leather interior, premium sound system, and a 10.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android support. With 410 Nm torque, 210 mm ground clearance, front and rear disc brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and power-adjustable front seats, the model is priced at BDT 46.5 lakh, including a 5-year or, 100,000 km warranty.
T8 Double Cabin
The T8 Double Cabin 4×4 features a 2-litre turbo-diesel engine, 6-speed manual transmission, 329 Nm torque, 210 mm ground clearance, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed interior, multifunction steering wheel, LED headlights and fog lights, and ABS. It is priced at BDT 34.5 lakh, also with a 5-year or, 100,000 km warranty, as per the company.
The newly introduced 1.5-ton and 3-ton commercial trucks have been engineered specifically for Bangladesh's roads and climate, and will be supported through Rancon's nationwide after-sales network, ensuring spare-parts availability, states the company.
Speaking at the event, Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Group Managing Director of Rancon Group, said, "We already have 16 thousand units of JAC operational in Bangladesh, which proves the quality of these vehicles. Vehicles of JAC Motors also have a good resale value for consumers."
