Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Tejgaon Division has arrested 46 individuals for their alleged involvement in various crimes during special drives conducted across the capital in 24 hours.
The arrests were made during regular operations in different crime-prone areas under six police stations, according to a DMP press release issued on Wednesday, signed by Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, Niyaz Mehedi.
Among the arrestees, the highest number of 12 individuals were nabbed from Mohammadpur.
Besides, police arrested eight people each from areas under Adabor and Hatirjheel police stations, and seven each from the jurisdictions of Tejgaon and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police stations. Four were held from the Tejgaon Industrial Area.
All the arrested individuals have been sent to court, said the release.
