The Bangladesh embassy in Qatar has issued an urgent security advisory for its expatriates, instructing them to stay away from military installations and remain indoors following a major military escalation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

The notice, issued Saturday, comes in the wake of joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran earlier in the day.

In retaliation, Iran reportedly targeted US military bases across the region, including sites in Qatar, Bahrain and Israel.

Citing safety concerns, the embassy urged all Bangladeshi nationals to stay at home or move to secure locations until the immediate danger subsides.

"In the interest of safety, everyone is urged to stay away from the vicinity of military installations and remain in their respective homes or safe places," the embassy said in the notice.

The embassy advised expatriates to keep an emergency kit on hand at all times, including cash, identification and health cards, necessary medications, mobile chargers, dry food, and other essential supplies.

The embassy also reminded citizens to remain respectful of Qatari laws and strictly follow local government directives.

The embassy warned against the sharing or uploading of photos and videos related to the military situation on social media, noting that such actions are a violation of Qatar's prevailing laws.

"We urge everyone to be cautious in their use of social media and to follow the official statements provided by the host government," the notice added.
