A video of a rally organised under the banner of Jubo League in Gazipur city has gone viral on social media.

Jubo League's activities remain banned.

The incident has sparked widespread discussion after a participant in the rally was heard making a threatening remark in the video.

The rally was brought out today in front of a garment factory along the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Choydana Maleker Bari area.

In the video circulating on social media, one protester was heard saying, “Not a single one of you should come forward; we will kill you outright.”

According to eyewitnesses, the individual made the remark as police were approaching the procession.

Bason Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Harun Or Rashid told The Daily Star that Jubo League leaders and activists took part in the rally in the morning. However, no one has been detained in connection with the incident so far.

The video quickly spread across social media, triggering widespread criticism.

Local sources said the rally was organised to mark the founding anniversary of Awami League on June 23, whose activities remain banned.
