Police have detained two children along with stolen AC wires in the capital's Aftabnagar area.
Niaz Mehedy, additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said that the duo were nabbed in the early hours of Friday (August 7).
He said security guards saw two children roaming suspiciously in front of the Imperial College at Block-B of Jahurul Islam City around 4:00 am and informed police.
Later police went to the spot and detained the two children and recovered the stolen AC wires from their possession.
ADC Niaz further said the two -children confessed during questioning that they stole the wires from various flats for sale.
