Reality television star and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner is set to make her acting debut in "The Moment", a new mockumentary-style film led by pop musician Charli XCX. The trailer for the film was released on Thursday, offering a brief glimpse of Jenner in her first on-screen acting role.
In the trailer, Jenner appears as herself, delivering a sharp line to Charli XCX: "The second people are getting sick of you, that's when you need to go even harder." The film is scheduled for release on January 30, 2026.
"The Moment" follows a fictionalised version of Charli XCX as she navigates fame, mounting industry pressure and the emotional toll of preparing for a major arena tour. While not a traditional tour documentary, the project draws inspiration from real-life expectations placed on artistes.
Speaking to Vanity Fair in October, Charli explained that the idea stemmed from pressure by her label to document her Brat album and tour. "It's fiction, but it's the realest depiction of the music industry that I've ever seen," she said.
Jenner previously described her role as small but challenging. Appearing on sister Khloé Kardashian's Khloé in Wonderland podcast in November, she admitted feeling anxious about stepping outside her comfort zone. "I was very scared to do this and very proud of myself when I did it," Jenner said, adding that years of public scrutiny had made her more cautious about taking risks.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Alexander Skarsgård, Kate Berlant and Rachel Sennott.
Jenner has recently been exploring creative avenues beyond reality television and beauty entrepreneurship. In October, the founder of Kylie Cosmetics surprised fans by releasing her first original song, "Fourth Strike", under her "King Kylie" alter ego. While the release drew attention, it also received mixed reactions online, with some criticism directed at its heavy use of autotune.
