The government has transferred nine senior police officials, including additional deputy inspector generals (DIGs) and superintendents of police (SPs).

The home ministry issued three separate notifications on Sunday, signed by Deputy Secretary Taueseef Ahmed.

According to the notifications, the moves are in public interest and take effect immediately.

Wahidul Haque Chowdhury has been moved from his position as additional commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) to serve as the additional DIG of the Tourist Police in Dhaka.

Nazmul Hasan, the additional DIG for the Chattogram Range, has been appointed as the additional commissioner of the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

Md Habibur Rahman, the SP of Madaripur, has been transferred to Narayanganj as its new SP. Replacing him in Madaripur is Md Fazle Elahi, of PBI.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, former deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been appointed as Pirojpur SP. The outgoing Pirojpur SP, Mohammad Monjur Ahmed Siddique, has been reassigned to the CID as a Special Superintendent of Police.

Shamima Yeasmin, an SP at the Police Staff College, has been posted as the SP of Training and Documentation (TDS) in Dhaka.

Md Jashim Uddin, deputy commissioner of the DMP, has been assigned to the Police Training Center (PTC) in Noakhali as its SP. Additionally, Rashida Begum, a supernumerary additional DIG at the Mymensingh Range, has been transferred to the Police Staff College in Dhaka.
