Prime minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the Sahapara Canal excavation project at Kaharol in Dinajpur on Monday.
In this regard, state minister of the Ministry of Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad was present as chief guest at a preparatory meeting with the leaders of Birganj upazila BNP and allied organisations on Saturday.
Another preparatory meeting was held with the leaders and activists of Kaharol upazila and municipal BNP and allied organisations, where Farhad Hossain delivered a guiding speech as chief guest.
Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Abu Zafar Md Zahid Hossain and Farhad Hossain Azad visited the site of the Saahapara Canal excavation project at Kaharol.
After visiting the canal, the ministers visited the meeting place of prime minister’s scheduled meeting in Dinajpur district town. Later, they attended a meeting with the deputy commissioner, police administration and all the concerned administrative officials at the conference room of the Dinajpur district commissioner.
