Away from Dhaka, the action-packed film "Malik" is being quietly shot in a secluded location. While the production team had hoped to keep the shoot under wraps, several scenes have already leaked on social media.
Amid the secrecy, the latest reports confirm that popular Dhallywood actor Arifin Shuvoo sustained injuries while filming an action sequence.
According to Kalerkantho, Sources revealed to them that a controlled fire was supposed to be set on the lower part of Shuvoo's body during the scene, and all safety measures had been properly prepared. However, as soon as filming began, the situation went out of control, and the flames suddenly engulfed his feet. Within seconds, the fire rose higher, and Shuvoo initially tried to put it out himself.
Overwhelmed by the intense heat, he eventually lost his balance and fell to the ground. Crew members rushed in to extinguish the flames, but his feet were left with burn marks.
Despite the accident, director Saif Chandan decided to halt the shoot temporarily. Shuvoo, however, reportedly did not back down. After receiving initial treatment, he returned to the set and completed all the day's scheduled shots.
Sources say that the actor is continuing with regular shooting despite his injuries. When contacted, director Saif Chandan declined to comment officially on the incident.
"Malik", an action-packed film set to release this upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, stars Bidya Sinha Mim opposite Arifin Shuvoo, with the screenplay written by Siddique Ahmed.
