A 35-year-old painter electrocuted while working on a four-story building in Adabar area of Dhaka on Wednesday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Inspector Faruk, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, said the painter was electrocuted and fell from the building while working on its exterior in the Shekhertek area.

He was later taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead at around 5:30pm.

The body has been kept in the DMCH morgue.
