The trailer of the upcoming web film “Ekshathe Alada” was unveiled yesterday (March 8) across the social media platforms of Hoichoi, ahead of its scheduled premiere on March 19 during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Directed by Rezaur Rahman, the one-hour romantic comedy-drama explores the emotional complexities of a marriage that has lost its spark. The story follows Farhan and Amira, a couple who find themselves trapped in a relationship that feels empty despite their efforts to hold it together.
As the narrative unfolds, the couple must confront their emotional struggles while dealing with pressure from family and society. Although they remain together, happiness seems to lie somewhere beyond their reach.
The film stars Yash Rohan and Parsa Evana in the lead roles, marking their first appearance together on Hoichoi. The cast also includes Tariq Anam Khan, Tushar Khan, Rosey Siddiqui and Deepa Khondkar in key roles.

The story and screenplay were jointly written by Rezaur Rahman and Karina Kaiser. The project is produced by Syed Ahmed Shawki, with Shahriar Islam serving as executive producer.
Cinematography for the film is by Ishtiaq Hossain, while editing was handled by Mahfuzul Haque Ashique. The music is composed by Khayam Sanu Sandhi, with sound design by Ripon Nath. Makeup was done by Kazi Asmita Pranjoli and Sujon Bepari, costume design by Swapna Rani Bain, and art direction by Md Rinku.
Speaking about the project, director Rezaur Rahman said the story reflects the challenges of modern relationships where love, independence and professional pressures often collide. He added that the trailer offers only a glimpse of the emotional journey portrayed in the film.
Actor Yash Rohan said the story felt relatable from the moment he read the script, noting that the themes mirror situations many people experience in real life. Actress Parsa Evana described her character as both challenging and layered, saying the film blends humour with subtle emotional depth.
“Ekshathe Alada” will premiere on Hoichoi on March 19.
