Bangladesh are set for a full tour of Zimbabwe next month, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed on Friday. The series will consist of one lone Test, three ODIs, and as many T20Is.
The one-off Test is scheduled for June 28 at the Harare Sports Club before the ODIs, scheduled for July 6, 9, and 11 respectively, at the same venue. The three T20Is are slated for July 15, 17, and 19 respectively at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Bangladesh last played Tests in Zimbabwe in 2021 when they won the one-off Test by 220 runs. The series saw Mahmudullah Riyad retire from the Test format. The last time Bangladesh played ODI and T20I series in Zimbabwe was in 2022, when the hosts won both series 2-1.
The upcoming series marks Zimbabwe’s first home assignment of the year and their first international assignment since the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, where they reached the Super Eights as group champions, recording their best-ever finish at a T20 World Cup.
Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni confirmed the tour, saying it was hugely important for the hosts’ return to international cricket.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” he said.
“This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo.”
After whitewashing Pakistan in the two-match Test series, the Tigers are set for ODI and T20I series against Australia at home in June before heading to Zimbabwe.
