Sydney Sweeney has taken a playful swipe at Tom Cruise after strapping herself to the top of a moving aeroplane and filming the stunt.

Sweeney posted a video on Monday showing herself on top of a single-engine plane as it flipped upside down several times while she remained secured to it, Fox News reports.

“Watch out Tom Cruise,” she captioned the post.

The 28-year-old actor wore leggings and a navy crew neck, with her hair in pigtail braids, as she stayed calm through the dramatic manoeuvres.

The official Top Gun Instagram account responded to the stunt with, “Feel the need for speed”, referencing Cruise’s famous action franchise.

Sweeney also used a wrist-mounted camera to capture parts of the stunt.

Just days earlier, she had shared a glimpse of her summer with boyfriend Scooter Braun.

On Aug 22, Sweeney posted a carousel captioned “Camp ’26” with a superhero emoji, showing the pair enjoying a lakeside getaway.

The “Euphoria” star appeared in a Wonder Woman-inspired outfit, while Braun dressed as Superman.

Other images showed them swimming, relaxing in the sun and singing karaoke.
