A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck the border between Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, early Tuesday, according to Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (ESMC).
The tremor occurred at 04:36am and was centered approximately 16km northwest of Satkhira, Bangladesh, and 36km east of Habra, India. The area is near a complex junction of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.
There have been no immediate reports of structural damage or casualties.
