Three teenagers, including a British-Bangladeshi, and an elderly taxi driver were killed in a road accident in Bolton, Manchester, in the United Kingdom.

The collision occurred on Wigan Road in Bolton at around 12:50am local time on Sunday. 

According to police and local sources, the crash involved a private car and a taxi. 

Five others were seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment in hospital.

The Bolton Council of Mosques (BCoM) has confirmed the identities of the deceased.

They are Mohammad Jibraeel Mukhtar, Farhan Patel, and Muhammad Daniyal Asghar Ali, all aged between 18 and 19. The other victim was taxi driver Mosrab Ali, who was in his fifties.

Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched an investigation into the incident.

Bolton Council councillor Ayyub Patel described the incident as a huge loss for the entire community and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
