Additional Commissioner (Admin) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Md Sarwar, has been given charge as its commissioner until a new appointment is made.

An official order issued today confirmed the decision.

According to the order, Sarwar will carry out the responsibilities of DMP commissioner with immediate effect, in addition to his current duties, until a regular commissioner assumes the post.
