When asked about the reason behind her sudden return to cinema after so many years, she said, “I didn’t really want to do films again. Even if I were to return, I wanted it to be meaningful. A return should feel worthy. After receiving the proposal from Redoan Rony, I felt that it could be something good. That’s why I agreed to work in ‘Domm’.”
She added, “I haven’t worked in an BFDC, as in mainstream commercial film, for many years. When I was approached for ‘Domm’, I felt it was worth doing, and that’s how I decided. I’m hopeful it will turn out well. The story, the locations, the director—everything together gives me confidence that it will be something good.”
Speaking about director Redoan Rony, Dolly Zahur said, “Redoan Rony is a very talented director. He has done many good works and is very sincere, which reflects in his direction.”
