Meta has launched a new centralised support hub feature within its Facebook app, combining various help and security tools into a single location.

To access the feature on Facebook, users can tap their profile picture in the bottom right corner of the app and scroll down to find the 'Support' menu, which now has options such as reviewing their account's security, recommendations on growing the profile, monetisation status, etc. The hub is now rolling out globally on iOS and Android.

According to Meta, the hub - also available on Instagram - is designed to simplify access to account support. Users can report issues and find answers using a search function powered by Meta's AI. The company is also testing an AI support assistant within the hub on Facebook to provide personalised guidance for tasks like account recovery.

The launch is part of broader security updates, says the company. Meta reports that new account hacks decreased by more than 30% globally on its platforms over the past year, which it attributes to improved AI systems. The company also states that the success rate for recovering hacked accounts has increased by more than 30% in the US and Canada this year, using methods like adaptive verification and optional selfie video confirmation.
