Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) organised a special ceremony to officially announce the names of its 50 'legendary players' who have contributed to the country's sports through their talent, hard work and success in the 39 years' glorious history of it.
BKSP Director General (DG) Brigadier General Md. Munirul Islam was present as the chief guest in the ceremony held at BKSP audio-visual center on Wednesday.
The BKSP DG expressed his happiness at unveiling the name plaque identifying 50 legendary players of the BKSP.
Shakib Al Hasan and Marufa Akter were among the nine cricketers in the list while Sheikh Morsalin and Ritu Porna Chakma were included among the 13 BKSP footballers.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, the DG called the legends as enlightened people and it is because of them that BKSP and the country are enlightened, reported BSS.
Brig Gen Md. Munirul Islam thinks that by unveiling the list of legends in this way, the current and future generations would be inspired and would focus more on the field of sports.
All BKSP teachers, trainers, and trainees were also present at the ceremony.
