Foreign affairs minister Khalilur Rahman said on Monday that his ministry was taking appropriate measures against ‘unexpected incident’ with prime minister’s adviser for policy and strategy Zahed Ur Rahman at Delhi airport on Sunday afternoon.

‘It is unexpected and sad as well. The foreign ministry is taking appropriate measures against the incident. The ministry will give a statement at the end of the day regarding the matter,’ he said, responding to reporters’ queries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Zahed returned home via Colombo in the afternoon as he was kept waiting at the Delhi airport by the immigration officials while entering Delhi on an official visit to India to attend senior officials’ meeting of the two-day Indian Ocean Rim Association beginning today in the Indian capital.
