The Ganatantrik Jukta Front, a combine of seven political parties, on Monday at a protest rally in Dhaka called on the government to take immediate steps to scrap the trade deal signed with United States during the interim government.
The combine organised the rally in front of the National Press Club as a part of its countrywide protests rallies.
Presiding over the rally Bazlur Rashid Firoz called on the BNP led government to take immediate steps to scrap the trade deal signed during rule of the interim government in the name of Reciprocal Trade Deal with the United States.
Terming the deal unequal and contrary to the national interests, he also called on the government to scarp all the deals which were signed during rule of the interim government with the United States.
Communist Party of Bangladesh president Sazzad Zahir Chandan, Revolutionary Communist League general secretary Iqbql Kabir Jahid, Socialist Party of Bangladesh general secretary Mushrefa Mishu and others addressed the rally.
The rally was followed by a protest procession that paraded different city roads.
