Despite efforts to reduce operational expenditure, Aamra Networks experienced losses in two of the first three quarters of FY26 because of a sharp decline in revenue.
The company reported a loss of Tk 32.54 million in the third quarter (January-March) of FY26, against a profit of Tk 13.01 million in the same quarter of the previous year. First-quarter earnings were also negative.
The company posted a loss of Tk 40.91 million in the first nine months of FY26, against a profit of Tk 71.59 million in the corresponding period of the previous year, owing to a steep fall in sales.
It could not be immediately known what other factors might have eroded earnings.
Aamra Networks' operating cash flow was negatively impacted in the nine months by a significant decrease in cash collected from customers, compared with the same period last year.
On the other hand, cash paid to suppliers and operating expenditure increased significantly.
As a result, net operating cash flow per share turned negative to Tk 0.55 in the first nine months of FY26, against Tk 1.05 reported for the same period of the previous year.
However, the company was able to report a profit of Tk 9.29 million in October-December (Q2) of FY26, against a profit of Tk 26.96 million in the same period of the previous year.
Although revenue showed a similar falling trend in the second quarter, a decrease in finance expenditure and consistent operational expenditure helped secure a profit for the quarter.
Meanwhile, Aamra Networks disclosed its financial statements for FY25, alongside recommending a 0.10 per cent cash dividend for general shareholders for the year.
The company saw a 95 per cent year-on-year plunge in profit to Tk 12.08 million in FY25.
The disclosure, however, did not mention the reasons behind the decline in profit.
Meanwhile, the stock of Aamra Networks, presently a 'Z' category company, jumped to Tk 21.6 a share on August 23 from Tk 15.80 a share on May 11, before declining to Tk 17.70 on Sunday.
