Walton has launched several new premium-category washing machine models featuring artificial intelligence-powered smart wash technology and advanced laundry solutions.
The newly launched models include AI-enabled top-loading washing machines WWM-ATT80 and WWM-ATT90 with capacities of 8kg and 9kg respectively, according to a press release.
Walton said the models can automatically detect the type and weight of clothes and select suitable wash settings through AI technology.
The new lineup also includes front-loading stain wash models WWM-AFB80 and WWM-AFB90, the steam wash-featured WWM-AFD80, and washer-dryer combo model WWM-AFC12M.
Walton said the WWM-AFD80 and WWM-AFC12M models are equipped with inverter and direct-drive motors to ensure energy efficiency, quieter operation and durability.
The products were unveiled at an event at Walton Corporate Office in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Walton Home and Kitchen Appliance Chief Business Officer Abdullah Al-Zunaid and actor Jaya Ahsan, brand ambassador of Walton washing machines and home appliances, introduced the new models.
Among others present were Walton Hi-Tech Industries Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed and senior officials of the company.
Speaking at the event, Zoheb Ahmed said the products were introduced in response to growing demand for smart home appliances and changing consumer lifestyles.
He said the combination of advanced technology and international-standard features would strengthen Walton’s position in the washing machine market.
Jaya Ahsan said Walton has continued to introduce technologically advanced and affordable washing machines for consumers.
She said Walton’s research and innovation teams are working to integrate modern features into home appliances, contributing to the popularity of the brand in the local market.
She also said Walton-manufactured products, including washing machines, are exported to more than 55 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
Abdullah Al-Zunaid said the newly launched models feature European-standard designs along with inverter and BLDC motors for improved performance and energy efficiency.
He added that selected models also include washer-dryer technology, allowing users to wash and dry clothes using a single machine.
Walton officials said the company manufactures washing machines at its factory in Chandra, Gazipur, where more than 30 models of front-load, top-load automatic and semi-automatic washing machines are produced.
The company also said Walton manufactures commercial washing machines following European energy standards.
