Tollywood favourite Madhumita Sarcar is preparing to begin a new chapter in her life.

Indian media report that the actress will marry her childhood friend Debmalya Chakraborty on January 23, with the ceremony set to take place at the historic Baruipur Rajbari in Kolkata.

A grand reception will follow on January 25 at ShobhabazarRajbari, where a constellation of stars from the entertainment world is expected.

Madhumita, who rose to household fame as “Pakhi” in the hit series Bojhe Na Se Bojhe Na, has successfully transitioned to the big screen in recent years.

Her filmography now includes Parihar, Love Aaj Kal Parshu, Chini, Dilkhush, Surya and Kuler Achar, solidifying her position as one of Tollywood’s most bankable young actors.

Before finding love again, the actress was married to actor-director Saurabh Chakraborty; the couple separated in 2019.

That same year, Madhumita reconnected with Debmalya, now a software engineer.

Their relationship, made public in 2024, quickly became a social-media favourite, with fans swooning over the couple’s candid, romantic snapshots.
