Teams of farmers working together to strip fibres from retted jute and clean them before dying in Natore’s Gurudaspur upazila recently. Across the district, farmers are keeping busy with a bumper jute harvest. The landscape is dotted with jute at every stage of processing -- from harvesting and retting to stripping fibres in canals and drying them in the sun.
